Maggie’s Home!

Actually, she has been home for over two weeks. I’ve just been too overwhelmed to post! I guess sometimes it’s hard to get exactly what you want.

Magdalene Anne Grace was born at 9:44pm on April 14, 2010. She weighed 5 pounds 15 ounces and was 18 and 1/2 inches long.

It was a long day of labor for me, but worth every contraction and tear once we saw our beautiful girl.

Josh,

Congrats on the baby and greetings from Princeton. I love that Fisher loves Maggie. Margot loves Josiah and vice versa. He's a very affectionate now two year old, and she is avery tolerant hound dog. I hope and your family are well. It's a whole new world with short people in the house.

I just picked up the book, along with TO SHARE IN THE BODY. I'm working on an essay on Norman Morrision and Quang Duc, the main purpose of which is to give an account of the ethics and politics of modern martyrdom. Though I've not read it yet, skimming and reading the blurbs suggests that you've already done much of the work and that my intuitions are in sympathy with your account. I'm interested in it as truth-telling, etc. This will figure prominently in the dissertation a few years from now.

I hope to hear from you as you are able.

Best,

DWL
